Arian Foster will return to the Texans starting lineup for the first time since injuring his groin eight weeks ago. The All-Pro running back not only get his first start of 2015, but also his first start with quarterback Ryan Mallett.
"We were talking about that earlier, actually," Foster said Friday. "We never got a chance to rock together. I feel like he has a really good command of the offense and you can tell it's just very smooth when he gets out there because he's been in it for so long and he commands it. When you have players like that who are confident in what they're doing, it's going to be fun."
Foster was inactive for Mallett's two starts in Week 11 and 12 against Cleveland and Cincinnati last year. When Foster returned in Week 13, Mallett had been placed on injured reserve with a pectoral injury.
The (1-2) Texans hope to get their second win in a row with the return of Foster, who hasn't seen action since the final game of 2014 against Jacksonville.
"I haven't played since December of last year, so it's what I've been dreaming of since I was a kid, playing in the NFL," Foster said. "So I'm excited. I love what I do. I'm excited, edgy and juiced."
