The Texans went back to a familiar place for their second fourth round selection on Saturday: Clemson.

With the 142nd overall pick, Houston picked defensive tackle Carlos Watkins. He led the National Champions last season with 10.5 sacks, and is happy to be reunited with former Tigers in quarterback Deshaun Watson, defensive lineman D.J. Reader and receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

"It's really a blessing," Watkins said to the Houston media on a conference call. "Getting to play wih them again is really a blessing. We can do a lot of great things."

Watkins measured in at 6-3, 309 pounds, and he registered 13.5 tackles for loss in 2016. He also took part in the Senior Bowl this January.

"This guy is someone we feel with a lot of hard work and good coaching, can fill a couple different roles for us," head coach Bill O'Brien said. "He can play on the inside for us. He can make a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage."

A defensive tackle in college, he said he's ready to help in whatever way

possible for the Texans.

"I can rush the quarterback, stop the run," Watkins said. "I can help out on ball screens. Anything the coach wants me to do, I'll do it."

He said he also has quite a bit of experience at the nose tackle poistion as well.

"I played it a lot this past year," Watkins said. "I actually played nose a majority of the time. I definitely can take on that transition."

The quartet of players from Clemson matches Michigan State as the college program with the most players on the Texans.
