Derek Barnett registered a game's worth of a great defensive stat line in just one play on Monday night.
The Texans defensive end scored a fourth quarter touchdown in the road game against the Cowboys, but so much more than that happened on the play.
WIth Dallas facing a 2nd-and-6 at their own 40-yard line early in the fourth quarter, Barnett came around the left tackle and stripped the ball loose from quarterback Cooper Rush. Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Guyton picked it up and started running, but safety Jalen PItre blasted the rookie tackle and dislodged the ball. Barnett was there for the recovery, and he rumbled 28 yards into the end zone for the score.
On the play, he was credited wtih a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and the touchdown.
The Ka'imi Fairbairn extra point gave the Texans a 27-10 lead with 12:31 remaining in the game.
