The Texans head to New Jersey today, where they'll face the Jets tomorrow evening on Thursday Night Football.
Houston's tied for 8th in the NFL in turnover differential, at plus-4. They've taken the ball away via fumble recovery or interception four more times than they've turned the ball over. Of the seven teams in front of the Texans in the turnover differential category, Houston's played four of them. They beat the Bills and Bears, but lost to the Vikings and Packers. They'll play the Lions a week from Sunday at NRG Stadium, and Detroit enters Week 9 tied for second in the NFL at plus-10.
The Jets, meanwhile, are minus-3 on the season in that statistic, and only eight teams in the league are minus-4 or worse.
John McClain wrote about the Texans receivers who must step up tomorrow, with Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins out.
Because it was a short week, not too many Jets met with the media on Tuesday. But their head coach and quarterback did, and they had a few thoughts on the Texans.
Congrats to Janice McNair! She's getting a Lifetime Achievement Award in January.
