ANOTHER Victory Monday for the Texans | Daily Brew

brewrichthumb

Happy Victory Monday...again.

The Texans triumphed over the Colts yesterday at NRG Stadium. They swept Indianapolis on the season, and it's the third victory in a row over the Colts.

Houston's defense has been remarkable at home this season. Team Analyst/Radio Sideliner Reporter John Harris released his "Harris Hits" this am, and it's a good read. Of the many notes that stood out to me, I thought I'd highlight the one below about that they've done to opposing quarterbacks in four NRG Stadium games in 2024.

Trevor Lawrence - 18-of-33 169 yards, one sack

Anthony Richardson - 10-of-32, 175, one INT, five sacks

Caleb Williams - 23-of-37, 174 yards, two INT, seven sacks

Josh Allen - 9-of-30, 131 yards, one sack

60-of-132

That's an impressive average of…

45% completion for 162 ypg and 3.5 sacks per game…in four games at NRG Stadium this year, thusfar. The challenge increases tenfold when the Lions come to town, but we'll worry about that next week.

I wrote a bit about the Texans pass defense, here, after the victory.

Longtime NFL Columnist John McClain shared his viewpoint of yesterday's win, here.

Voice of the Texans Marc Vandermeer chimed in on the victory in his VanderBlog.

Running back Joe Mixon has been fantastic this season. In every game he's started and finished--four total--he's run for more than 100 yards.

Yesterday was also another awesome celebration of Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Johnson.
