Arian Foster missed his second-consecutive day of practice on Friday with a groin injury. His status for Sunday's game against Cincinnati is listed as questionable. Head coach Bill O'Brien will wait to make a decision on Foster prior to kickoff.
Foster spoke with media on Friday and said his groin felt "okay." He still hoped to play Sunday despite not having practiced since Wednesday.
"I'm going to do my best," Foster said.
If Foster can't play, rookie Alfred Blue will make his third start of the season.
Last week Blue carried a full load with 36 rushes for 156 yards. He also contributed on special teams. O'Brien may scale back Blue's contributions on special teams if needed.
"I think we probably need to watch that moving forward, but he's such an important part of our special teams units," O'Brien said Friday. "We have to be aware thought that he carried the ball 36 times in that game. I'm not sure how much he'll carry the ball on Sunday. We have to be aware of that."
