EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Running back Ben Tate is inactive for the Texans in their Monday Night Football game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Justin Forsett will be the Texans' backup to Arian Foster. A fifth-year pro who signed with the Texans in May, Forsett has six carries for 35 yards (8.8 average) this season.

Tate was listed as questionable on the final injury report on Saturday because of a toe injury. He did not practice on Thursday or Friday and was limited on Saturday.

Tate has 30 carries for 117 yards (3.9 average) and two touchdowns this season. He has nine catches for 48 yards. The third-year back out of Auburn had 942 rushing yards last season, when he ranked seventh in the NFL with 5.4 yards per carry.

Foster has 103 carries for 380 yards and four touchdowns. He is on pace for 412 rushing attempts, which would be the second-most in a season in NFL history.
