Big moves, another award and fan questions | Daily Brew

The Texans are back to work today.

They'll hit the practice field later this morning and keep getting ready for their Sunday matchup with the Patriots. It'll be the first trip back to Foxborough since August of 2023 when they played the Pats in the preseason. The last time the Texans and New England squared off at Gillette Stadium in the regular season? Week 1 of 2018. That was a loss for Houston...as every regular season or playoff game has been at the Patriots.

But the opponents will start a rookie at quarterback in Drake Maye.

Houston will be without wide receiver Nico Collins on Sunday, as well. He's been placed on the reserve/injured list (IR) because of the hamstring injury he suffered on Sunday in the win over Buffalo.

Congratulations to kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn. He was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week today.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud was on the Pat McAfee show yesterday and had a fun back-and-forth with the host.

Texans fans had some pretty good questions in this "Fans Wanna Know" mailbag. I did my best trying to answer them.
