Big Tuesday, Pat McAfee's view of the Texans | Daily Brew

Tuesdays during the regular season are typically dominated by stories about the players going around town and doing great things in the community.

Today is no different.

Wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson and running back British Brooks are teaming up with former Pro Bowl left guard Wade Smith at a Reading with the Pros Kickoff event. That trio will read books to children at an area elementary school this morning.

Linebacker Neville Hewitt, cornerback Myles Bryant and former Texans o-lineman Chris Clark are at a Huddle Against Hunger Pep Rally at a different elementary school in town.

I joined running back Dare Ogunbowale at KIPP Sunnyside for a TDECU Financial Literacy event. TDECU is donating $300 to KIPP every time the Texans offense gets into the red zone this season.

Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle has 5 things learned about the Texans from their Week 1 win at Indianapolis.

Pat McAfee has a pretty cool perspective on the Texans. After all, he played against them as Indianapolis' punter from 2019 through 2016. Now he's got a daily show. Plus, he's been in the crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium for the last two matchups between the clubs. His view of the C.J. Stroud-to-Nico Collins 12-yard hookup is a pretty cool tale.

Kenyon Green suited up in a regular season game Sunday for the first time since the 2022 campaign. He and the offensive line helped Joe Mixon rack up 159 yards on the ground, and the offense eclipsed the 200-yard mark as a whole. It was a good return for Green, as Aaron Wilson of KPRC-2 writes.
