The fine folks at NFL Research sent out some information this week about the Week 4 matchup between the Texans and Jaguars.
One interesting tidbit dealt with Houston under Head Coach DeMeco Ryans following a loss. Last year, the Texans dropped seven games during the regular season. Only once did they lose the next week. They were 6-1 in games following a loss, and on average, they outscored their opponents in those post-loss games 26-19. They were also a combined plus-6 in turnover differential in those seven games.
We'll see if those gaudy numbers continue this Sunday against the 0-3 Jaguars.
Longtime NFL Columnist John McClain wrote this piece on burying last week's bad game and moving on to the Jaguars.
ESPN's D.J. Bien-Aime wrote this article about the importance of protecting quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Do you Know Your Foe? John Harris does. The Team Analyst/Radio Sideline Reporter has his weekly preview article here, and as always, you'll be a lot smarter after reading it.
Texans fans had some pretty good questions this week. Stuff about the penalties, uniforms, and who the next Texan after J.J. Watt will be a Pro Football Hall of Famer. I answered those questions here.
