All-Pro left tackle Duane Brown was excited to do something Wednesday night that he's never done before.
He threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Astros game at Minute Maid Park.
"It's something I've been wanting to do for a while but going into my eighth year, I guess it's the best time to have that kind of opportunity," Brown said.
He didn't prepare much for his first pitch, though Brown has been hitting the softball fields for charity games this offseason, including J.J. Watt's annual charity classic and for Grammy-winning artist Drake.
Brown admits he can't always keep up with baseball as much as he'd like, but he has definitely taken notice of the Astros' first place status in the American League.
"I'm very much aware of the Astros and the success they're having so to be a part of that, I'm looking forward to it," Brown said.
