Ready for the big game on Sunday?
Of course you are. As television numbers show, the Super Bowl has become one of the biggest events in the world. 114 million people watched last year as the Patriots defeated the Seahawks, making it the most watched television show in U.S. history.
However, 'getting ready' has a much different meaning for the city of Houston, as this time next year the city will be the host of the country's most watched contest. For all intents and purposes, the countdown as begun, and this week in Santa Clara will serve a key role in the preparation process.
Officials from the city, including members of the Houston Texans organization, are in California for this week's game, observing the festivities both leading up to Super Sunday and the actual game itself. Once the contest is over, the torch will be passed to the city of Houston, and we will be officially 'on the clock'.
Below are a few tweets from the Houston Super Bowl's official account (@HouSuperBowl) that will give you a behind the scenes look at all the madness happening in San Francisco and the surrounding areas.
