Brian Hoyer compares J.J. Watt to Tom Brady

Quarterback Brian Hoyer hasn't known J.J. Watt long, but he reminds him of somebody.

His former teammate Tom Brady.

What does a four-time Super Bowl winning MVP quarterback have in common with the NFL's two-time Defensive Player of the Year?

Intensity. Focus. Drive.

Hoyer, who spent three seasons in New England with Brady, discussed the similarities on "The Dan Patrick Show."

"I'd compare it to Tom Brady," Hoyer said Thursday. "I mean, the guy works so hard and is obsessed with being perfect and obsessed with his craft. There is similar desire there, I would say, and I think the thing with J.J. is he goes out there and works and he doesn't care what anybody else thinks. He puts in the extra time. He works his butt off and that's why he's the best defensive player in the league."
