Don't touch that dial. Texans radio is back with two shows this offseason, 'Texans All Access' broadcasted live from Reliant Stadium on Tuesdays from 12-2 p.m. CT and 'Texans Live' airing Thursday evenings from 6-7 p.m. CT.
Hosted by 'Voice of the Texans' Marc Vandermeer, the first 'All Access' kicked off earlier this week and included interviews with NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah and pro football guru Russell Baxter.
With much buzz around who the team will select as the number one pick in the NFL draft, the topic of conversation quickly turned to quarterback Johnny Manziel. Jeremiah shared his prediction that "Johnny Football" will be the soonest to see success coming out of this year's quarterback pool.
"His athleticism and mobility is just off the charts," Jeremiah said. "It's as good as we've seen."
Baxter had a different opinion, proposing the possibility of new head coach Bill O'Brien working to rejuvenate the career of veteran Matt Schaub.
The show also included excerpts from interviews with Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano and Texans Pro Bowlers J.J. Watt & Duane Brown. Watt and Brown both expressed their excitement for the upcoming season and the opportunity to work with O'Brien.
"He's a straight shooter, knows his stuff," Brown said of the new head man. "He's all about putting the team first and I respect that."
