Can the Texans wear their H-Town or Battle Red uniforms in the playoffs?

ZTR12184

This year the Texans unveiled a brand new, fan-inspired locker of uniforms. The updated Deep Steel Blue home uniform and Liberty White away uniform have been the most commonly worn looks by the team this year, but Houston wore their H-Town alternate uniforms twice (against the Bills and the Ravens) and their Battle Red alternate uniforms once (against the Lions).

That was the maximum number of times a team can wear alternate uniforms during the season.

Fans played a huge role in creating the new locker of uniforms, so it's understandable if they want to see the alternates again in the postseason.

However, the NFL rules don't allow alternate uniforms in the Playoffs.

Thus, the Texans will wear their Deep Steel Blue look for the Wild Card game on January 11 at 3:30 p.m. CT when they face the Chargers.
