As pro cheerleaders, we all know performing well as a team is one thing we all must learn, but what about life off the field? The majority of our time during the season is spent, unfortunately, not with our significant others or our friends but with our new family…our teammates. Because of this, it is imperative that we all learn as much as we can about one another. This year our veterans have decided to throw a welcome dinner for our rookies to accomplish a few things that will aid us all throughout the season. The most important goal is to get to know our teammates and allow our new members to feel comfortable and welcome. The second thing at the top of our list was to share some tips and tricks about life as a pro cheerleader, such as getting through tough practices, finding the right lipstick and looking fabulous in the hot Houston weather.
We all had a wonderful time getting to know each other outside of practice and shared the excitement of the beginning of a new season. When all's said and done, I think we are all looking forward to getting to know each other better so we can all work together to have a memorable and satisfying year. Here's to a great season!
