The Texans are getting healthy, one player at a time. On Wednesday, Christian Covington announced the good news that he was medically cleared for football.
Covington played seven games with two starts before suffering a season-ending torn bicep in the Texans Week 8 game at Seattle. He finished the season with 16 tackles, including 10 solo, two quarterback hits, one sack and one forced fumble.
The fourth-year defensive end was one of 19 players that finished the 2017 season on injured reserve.
