Michael Crabtree slid down all the way to the 49ers at No. 10, and Mike Singletary has got to be ecstatic with a player whom Chris Berman just compared to Jerry Rice in the ESPN draft telecast.
I've got to give credit to Texans TV's Brooke Bentley. She insisted on giving Crabtree to the 49ers in our **HoustonTexans.com Mock Draft**, but I wouldn't budge and said I couldn't see the Raiders taking another wideout at No. 7. So we gave Crabtree to the Raiders.
Brooke was convinced it was going to happen, and just now told me she had it from some pretty good sources that Oakland didn't like Crabtree. Props to Brooke on what would have been a savvy pick. Looks like I'll be listening to her a little more in our mock drafts next year.
