Daily Brew: Houston shows off playoff spirit for Texans

With playoff week underway in the NFL, a number of partners are showing their support for the Houston Texans across the city.

-Amegy Bank, a proud sponsor of the Texans, can be spotted from miles away with a large Texans playoff banner on the building.

-Expect to see the Houston skyline glowing in Battle Red, Deep Steel Blue and Liberty White. ConocoPhillips will light up its building in Texans colors and a large 'T' this week and doing an internal ticket giveaway to employees. Houston Methodist Hospital and Texans Children's will also be lighting up their buildings to show their team spirit leading up to Saturday's playoff game.

-Texans Children's Hospital sent a good luck message filmed by Play 60 kids.

-On Monday, Texans cheerleaders visited Texans Children's for the "Bullheads, Blankets and Beanies" event, bringing Texans blankets and beanies to babies so that they could also show their team spirit leading up to the playoff game.

-Four of the Texans' official partners gave away playoff tickets this week. BMW, Circle K, RTIC and Academy had online contests for fans to win tickets. Texans Radio also held a ticket giveaway during Tuesday's show from Fuddruckers.

-Fans are invited to the Playoff Rally at City Centre on Friday, January 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with appearances by the Houston Texans cheerleaders, TORO, Texans Legends. Those who attend will have a chance to win a number of prizes, including six (6) pair of tickets to Saturday's Wild Card Game against the Bills.

-On Gameday, fans will receive a 'We Are Texans' flag, a gate giveaway presented by Kroger in partnership with Reliant Energy. At NRG Stadium, check out the playoff banner hanging outside and the sidewalk stencils celebrating the Texans Wild Card game. The Houston Texans Team Shop is also stocked with the latest playoff merchandise.

-Upon victory, take advantage of "Victory Values," in a continuation of Texans in-season promotions with Palais Royal, Mattress Firm, Papa John's and Jack In the Box.

Kickoff for Saturday's AFC Wild Card game against the Bills is at 3:35 p.m CT on ABC-13/ESPN/SportsRadio 610.
