On Sunday, two teams will be warming up inside NRG Stadium for the final game of the 2019 regular season.
Outside NRG Stadium, nine teams will be competing for the coveted H-E-B Tailgater of the Year bragging rights. Each "Tailgater of the Game" winner from the previous nine home games, representing every parking lot from Blue to Yellow, will go head-to-head in the biggest celebration of food and pregame festivities in the NFL. This year's tailgating finalists will showcase: a fully-customized fire truck, smoke machines, sirens, DJs and dancers and all types of tailgating cuisine, from fried ribs to enchiladas and a mouth-watering seafood boil.
The H-E-B Tailgater of the Year competition will take place on Sunday, December 29 prior to the Texans-Titans game with a panel of celebrity judges, including Texans ambassador Travis Johnson. Tailgaters will be at the Gravel Lot in the Southeast corner of NRG Stadium near the entrance to the BULL-evard. Fans are invited to check out the Tailgater of the Year competition and stay for the awards. Winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m.
The Texans will host the Titans in this year's annual Fan Appreciation game. Kickoff has been moved to 3:25 p.m. CT. and will be broadcast on CBS and SportsRadio 610.
