Defensive end J.J. Watt returns to practice field

A day after watching his teammates from the sidelines, J.J. Watt was back on the practice field with the Texans. The defensive end missed Wednesday's work because of a "sore back", but was a full go at the Houston Methdoist Training Center on Thursday.

Both Watt and Kubiak said the defensive end would be back at practice, and Watt said Wednesday that he'll be ready to play Sunday against the Jaguars.

Last year when the Texans played at Jacksonville in Week 2, Watt had a pair of sacks, two batted passes, a fumble recovery and nine total tackles. That effort earned him the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor.

He currently leads the team with 8.5 sacks in 2013, and is atop the NFL with 30 quarterback hits and 15 tackles for loss.
