After seven long months of hard work and recovering from his Achilles surgery, DeVier Posey will get a chance to play Thursday night.
"He practiced today," Kubiak said on Tuesday. "I'm going to play him in the game. It'll probably be a brief appearance, but he needs to just get out there and get his feet wet so to speak."
Posey was put on the active roster and removed from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on August 19. The second-year wide receiver is expected to take the field on Thursday during the Texans' final preseason game at Dallas, but will be limited in reps.
"He'll probably play about 12 plays," Kubiak said. "Get hit. Get tackled. All that confidence he's been working on, just make sure he's ready to go. But he's good."
