Nose tackle D.J. Reader met with Drew Dougherty after Friday's training camp practice at The Greenbrier. The two discussed a variety of things, and you can listen to the full interview**HERE**.
DD: What's your one, "must-pack" item for training camp?
Reader: Cell phone. You gotta have it. Cell phone or headphones.
DD: What's your best football trait?
Reader: My hands. I'm really good with my hands. Tight hand placement. That and physicality.
DD: What's your most-improved football trait this offseason?
Reader: Leadership. And being prepared to play every play. Being in better shape.
DD: Which of your teammates talks the most trash?
Reader: Jadeveon Clowney. For sure. 100 percent.
DD: Who's your most underrated teammate?
Reader: (Fullback) Jay Prosch. He does a lot for our offense. Opens up holes. He can receive out of the backfield.
DD: What sport would you play if you weren't playing football?
Reader: Baseball.
DD: If you could play on offense, what position would you play?
Reader: Wide receiver. I told you about my hands.
DD: What do you eat for breakfast at camp?
Reader: Eggs, chicken sausage, and avocado.
DD: Who has the best hair on the staff?
Reader: Either me, (Safety) Tyrann (Mathieu) or (Linebacker Benardrick McKinney) B-Mac. Those are the three options.
DD: Who's your favorite retired NFL player?
Reader: Reggie White. Just watching him be able to come up and blow past guys, it's crazy.
DD: Do you send postcards from camp, and if you do, who gets them?
Reader: I don't send postcards, because I don't think about it. But my mom does send them, and I really like getting them.
