For the second straight January, the Texans got a second half pick-6 in a Wild Card game at NRG Stadium.
On Saturday in their playoff game against the Chargers, the Texans saw safety Eric Murray intercept an errant Justin Herbert pass and return it 38 yards up the right side of the field for a touchdown. Kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn's extra point try was good, and Houston held a 20-6 lead over Los Angeles with 0:13 remaining in the third quarter.
It was the second interception of the game for the Texans defense, as rookie corner Kamari Lassiter plucked one from Herbert earlier in the contest.
It was also the fourth interception return for a score in Houston's playoff history, as Murray joined J.J. Watt (2011), Christian Harris (2023) and Steven Nelson (2023).
