In Week 11 of the **Home Team Challenge**, the free fantasy football game with great prizes on HoustonTexans.com, the winning player will take home a picture autographed by Texans Pro Bowl linebacker DeMeco Ryans.
Here's my weekly fantasy advice, with a few players I like and a few players I don't.
PRICE IS RIGHT
WR Larry Fitzgerald/Anquan Boldin, ARI, 44 points a piece (@ SEA): This duo from Arizona combined for 141 yards and three touchdowns last week against San Francisco. Fitzgerald has amassed 791 yards and six touchdowns this season while Boldin has caught 49 passes for 606 yards and 10 touchdowns. Seattle's defense is giving up 252.2 passing yards per game, which ranks them 31st out of 32 NFL teams. Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner can't decide who his favorite receiving target is, so he throws a lot to both players. Warner should be able to pick apart Seattle's defense and find both Boldin and Fitzgerald for a good amount of yards this week.
VALUE PICK
QB Matt Ryan, ATL, 46 (vs. DEN): Ryan is showing why he was the Falcons' first-round draft choice this year. He has led his team to a 6-3 record through nine games by throwing for 1,909 yards and 11 touchdowns. Ryan threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns last week against the Saints. With Denver giving up 242.8 passing yards per game, Ryan should continue his aerial attack for at least one more week.
WR Eddie Royal, DEN, 30 (@ ATL): A second-round draft pick this year, Royal has caught 52 passes for 625 yards and four touchdowns in nine games this season and has helped Denver's passing offense be one of the best in the league. Last week, Royal caught a 93-yard bomb against the Browns for a touchdown and finished with 164 yards for the game. Atlanta is giving up 228.4 passing yards per game, and with the Broncos struggling to find their running game due to a bevy of backfield injuries, Jay Cutler's passes should be flying in Royal's direction.
NOT WORTH IT
QB Brett Favre, NYJ, 57 (@ NE): Favre has thrown for 1,979 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. He has also thrown 12 interceptions. Last week, his team scored 47 points, but Favre threw for only 167 yards and one touchdown against the Saints. He might be forced to pass more against a better New England defense, but the Patriots are only giving up 201 passing yards per game this season. Don't expect huge numbers from Favre this week.
SLEEPER SPECIAL
RB DeAngelo Williams, CAR, 39 (vs. DET): Williams is my sleeper choice this week even though he has been largely hit or miss this season. Last week was a hit because Williams ran for 140 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown. He has run for 662 yards and four touchdowns this season but still splits carries with rookie running back Jonathan Stewart. The Detroit Lions' defense is giving up 161.2 yards per game to opposing rushers. Williams is a threat to break a long run every time he touches the ball, and that gives him good value in fantasy leagues.
TEXANS FANTASY STARTER OF THE WEEK
WR Kevin Walter, HOU, 29 (@ IND): Walter was the lone offensive bright spot in last week's game against the Baltimore Ravens. He caught four passes for 85 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown. Walter is getting more yards after the catch this season and has a team-high six touchdowns. With most opposing defenses focused on trying to stop fellow wide receiver Andre Johnson, Walter is getting his chance to step up and make big plays.
