Foster misses practice, remains game-time decision

Arian Foster did not practice on Thursday due to his lingering groin injury. Foster was able to return to practice on Wednesday, but had been limited.

"No setback," head coach Bill O'Brien said of Foster's absence. "Not setback, just really is from one day to the next we'll see how he's doing. I'm sure we'll have to make a decision on game day. It's just one of those things. It's just something we have to wait it out and see if gets better."

Whether or not Foster starts in the Texans next game against Cincinnati remains a game-time decision. If Foster can't play, rookie Alfred Blue will get his second-consecutive start. The LSU product set a franchise record with 36 carreis and tied the franchise rookie rushing record with 156 yards in the Texans 23-7 win in Cleveland. Second-year back Jonathan Grimes, also a special teams contributor, would share carries if needed.

"He's gotten his carries, obviously against Cleveland he went in there and spelled (Alfred) Blue, helped us on third downs, had a couple of big runs for us, kept drives going, so to me he's a guy who's really embraced his role," O'Brien said of Grimes. "Those are the types of guys that we're really looking for here, guys that really understand their role and embrace it."

The (5-5) Texans will host the (6-3-1) Cincinnati Bengals in their Week 12 matchup on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. on CBS KHOU-11 and SportsRadio 610.
