TEXANS TEAM NOTES
• Houston fell to 2-8 overall and 1-4 at home this season with the loss.
• Houston fell to 5-3 overall and 2-2 against Oakland at home in the all-time series.
• Houston outgained Oakland 394-341, marking the seventh time this season the Texans have outgained an opponent.
• The Texans lost the possession battle for the third time this season, holding the ball for 28:29.
• Houston's defense forced seven three-and-out possessions. Houston had forced 28 three-and-out drives coming into the game.
• Had two players pass for more than 150 yards in the same game for the first time in franchise history. QB Case Keenum threw for 170 yards and QB Matt Schaub threw for 155 yards.
• Had two players with more than 100 yards receiving in the same game for the seventh time in franchise history and first time since 2011. TE Garrett Graham had 136 yards receiving and WR Andre Johnson had 116 yards receiving.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:
K RANDY BULLOCK
• Connected on all three of his field goal attempts, including a career-long 51-yarder in the second quarter. He also kicked field goals of 26 and 30 yards in the fourth quarter.
TE GARRETT GRAHAM
• Caught seven passes for a career-high 136 yards and one touchdown, bettering his previous best of 82 yards vs. Jacksonville on Nov. 18, 2012. It was the most receiving yards ever by a Texans tight end in franchise history and the seventh 100-yard game ever by a Texans tight end. It was also Graham's first career 100-yard game.
• Set a career high for receptions in a season on with his third catch of the game and 29th receptions of the season in the first quarter. Graham now has 33 receptions for 404 yards
• Set a career-high with his fourth touchdown catch of the season on a career-long 42-yard pass from Case Keenum in the second quarter.
WR ANDRE JOHNSON
• Finished with 10 receptions for 116 yards, marking the 48th 100-yard receiving game of his career (ranks sixth all-time) and the 19th time he has caught 10-plus passes for more than 100 yards in the same game, the most in NFL history. It was the fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career.
• Johnson now has 72 receptions for 966 yards this season and ranks 15th all-time with 890 career receptions and 18th all-time with 12,220 yards receiving.
• Extended his streak of consecutive games played with a reception to 111 and his franchise record or games played to 148.
• Passed Keenan McCardell (883) to move into 15th place on the NFL's all-time receptions list with his fourth reception of the game.
• Passed Charlie Joiner (12,146) to move into 18th place on the NFL's all-time receiving yards list on his fifth reception of the game.
CB JOHNATHAN JOSEPH
• Had two passes defensed. Since he came into the league in 2006, Joseph ranks third in the NFL with 112 passes defensed. He leads the Texans with 11 passes defensed this season.
QB CASE KEENUM
• Moved into second place on the Texans all-time pass attempts without an interception list with 105 with his third pass attempt of the game. He threw an interception on his fourth attempt of the game, ending his streak at 105.
• Completed 13-of-24 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown and 73.3 rating
SHANE LECHLER
• Passed Chris Gardocki (50,336) into fifth place on the all-time punting yards list with his first punt of the game. Lechler entered the game with 50,311 yards. He now ranks fifth in NFL history with 50,753 yards.
KESHAWN MARTIN
• Had a franchise-record 87-yard punt return for his first career punt return for a touchdown, the first touchdown return by a Texan since Jacoby Jones vs. Indianapolis on Sept. 11, 2011 and the fifth punt return touchdown in team history
• Set a franchise record with 125 yards on seven punt returns (17.9 average). Jacoby Jones held the previous single-game mark of 100 on five returns against Arizona on Oct. 11, 2009. As of 6 p.m. CT Sunday, it was third-highest single-game punt return total this season behind Cleveland's Travis Benjamin (187 vs. Buffalo, 10/3/13) and St. Louis' Tavon Austin (145 vs. Indianapolis, 11/10/13).
• Had 187 yards in returns (125 punt return/62 kick return), a season-best.
• Caught two passes for 32 yards
C CHRIS MYERS
• Extended the NFL's longest active consecutive games played streak by an offensive lineman to 131.
• Extended the NFL's longest active consecutive games started streak by a center to 106.
OLB RICKY SAPP
• Made his Texans debut on special teams during the first quarter
QB MATT SCHAUB
• Completed 12-of-25 passes for 170 yards.
• Moved past DeMeco Ryans into ninth place on the franchise's all-time games played list with his 87th game played.
ILB D.J. SMITH
• Made his Texans debut on special teams during the opening kickoff
FS JAWANZA STARLING
• Made his Texans debut on special teams during the opening kickoff
RB BEN TATE
• Rushed for 88 yards on 19 carries (4.6 average) and the seventh-highest total of his career.
• Had a season-high 117 yards from scrimmage (88 rushing, 29 receiving).
• Tied a career-high with four receptions. Tate has had four receptions in a game four times in his career. The last time Tate had four receptions in a game was in Week 2 of 2012 against Jacksonville.
ILB JUSTIN TUGGLE
• Made his first career start at inside linebacker
DE J.J. WATT
• Recorded a sack for the fourth consecutive game, the second-longest streak of his career. Watt had at least 0.5 sacks in his first six games of 2012.
• Ran his season sack total to 8.5 sacks with 2.0 sacks against Oakland. Recorded a second-quarter sack of Matt McGloin for a loss of 10 yards. He took down McGloin for an 11-yard loss in the fourth quarter.
• It was his ninth game with 2.0 or more sacks in his career and the second time he has had 2.0 sacks in a game this season (9/15 vs. Tennessee).

• The Raiders won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. The Texans elected to receive.
