Houston Texans Mobile app receives rave reviews

The Houston Texans proudly launched their official mobile app on Friday, Sept. 9. Since then, thousands of fans have downloaded the app, and the reviews have been excellent. The app was developed in conjunction with Yinzcam, Inc.

Texans fan Israel Lozoya rated Houston Texans Mobile five stars on iTunes:

"Awesome app!! Very detailed, informative with everything Houston Texans...it even has a section to keep track of your fantasy team! I'M A TEXAN!!!

The app also received five-star billing from fan Daniel Adell, who offered this review on iTunes:

When the app launched, it ranked #16 on the Top Free iPhone Sports Apps charts on iTunes, and Michael Garfield, a.k.a. The High Tech Texan, named it his "App of the Week" on Sept. 10 during his weekly radio show on SportsRadio 610.

Houston Texans Mobile is available on iPhone, Android and most BlackBerry devices. To download the app, fans can text TEXANS to51288, or search for "Houston Texans Mobile" on the Apple App Store, Android Marketplace or **BlackBerry App World**. It also is available to download by scanning this **QR code**.

For fans looking to enhance their gameday experience, Houston Texans Mobile is the perfect companion. The app allows fans to track the game score in real-time with team/player stat updates, drive charts and a box score. In addition, fans can navigate a map of the concourse levels at Reliant Stadium and search concession menus and pricing, restroom locations and other stadium amenities.

In terms of social media, Houston Texans Mobile allows fans to check-in to show where they're watching the game, and the app supports one-touch content sharing so fans can post directly to their Facebook walls or Twitter feeds. There also is a live Twitter stream inside the app that aggregates Texans-related tweets and allows fans to join the conversation.

And no NFL team mobile app would be complete without a fantasy tracker. Fans with Houston Texans Mobile can add their fantasy football lineup to the app and track the progress of their entire roster.

Finally, fans can re-live their favorite game-time moment by using the app to generate a digital keepsake of their own digital photo superimposed on the Reliant Stadium videoboard. Fans can then share these keepsakes to their Facebook/Twitter accounts or send it to their friends and family as an MMS message. This feature has become a fan-favorite.
