J.J. Watt made his presence known as the Texans faced the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
And that was before the defense even took the field.
Watt scored on a one-yard touchdown catch on Houston's opening drive of the game. It was the first touchdown from scrimmage for a defensive player in franchise history.
Watt, lined up as a tight end on the left side, found the endzone following a nine-play, 80-yard drive. The two-time All-Pro defensive end last scored on a 29-yard interception returned for a touchdown against Cincinnati in the AFC Wild Card playoff game on January 7, 2012.
It was a familiar spot for Watt, who played tight end at Pewaukee High School and Central Michigan.
