Earlier this week, J.J. Watt said he wasn't worried about his sack numbers.
He shouldn't be.
The Texans star defensive end now has three sacks in two games after a big play in Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
With 10:34 left in the third quarter, the Texans trailed the Panthers 10-3 in Houston. Watt forced a strip sack on rookie quarterback Kyle Allen and recovered it at the Panthers 18-yard line.
With the Texans offense on the field, Deshaun Watson turned to Carlos Hyde for three consecutive plays. After a short pass to Carlos Hyde added a six-yard gain, Hyde ran for 10 yards to get Houston into a first-and-goal situation. Hyde ran for a one-yard gain to the Panthers 1-yard line on the third play of the drive. On the next play, Watson scrambled for a one-yard touchdown run. The Texans tied the game 10-10 after the four-play, 18-yard scoring drive.
Watt's sack was the third strip sack of the day for the Texans defense against the Panthers.
