J.J. Watt talks turkey, cake and pie

If he wants, J.J. Watt can go just about anywhere for turkey tomorrow.

"I'm very fortunate to have people down here invite me into their homes and I've had so many people offer, and I think that's what it's all about," Watt said on Wednesday.

The 6-5, 289-pounder said he's a "big, big fan" of Thanksgiving, from the food to the reason for celebrating.

"I have so many different things in my life to be thankful for," Watt said. "It's literally unbelievable.

It's just a great day to remind ourselves of that."

After practicing with the team in the morning, he's bringing a dessert to the home where he's celebrating. While he named the sweet he'll take--an éclair cake his mother baked for him--he wouldn't divulge where he's spending the afternoon.

"Well I don't want to tell everybody because I don't want to make the guys house, I don't want to make that a target," Watt said.

Watt's meticulous about his diet, but said he'll make an exception on Thursday.

"Thanksgiving is a cheat day," Watt said. "Obviously a huge fan of the pies, turkey, stuffing, not a big cranberry sauce guy. Basically those vegetables stay out of my way on Thanksgiving. But I mean, just going back for like three, four, five plates. That's the best part."

The Texans will practice on Friday, and host the Titans on Sunday at noon in NRG Stadium.
