Joppru, Symons return


HOUSTON -- Houston Texans TE Bennie Joppru and rookie QB B.J. Symons will begin practicing with the team on Wednesday, Nov. 10, it was announced today. Both players were placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (P.U.P.) list before training camp.

Symons is recovering from a knee injury he sustained in college and Joppru injured his groin during workouts in 2003. He spent the entire 2003 season on the Reserve/Injured list.


P.U.P. Rules

Players placed on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform are allowed to begin practicing with the team after the conclusion of the sixth regular season weekend and continuing after the conclusion of the ninth regular season weekend. The practice period is not to exceed 21 days. Any time during that 21-day period, teams are allowed to restore the player to the Reserve/PUP list of to the active roster.
