Jordan Akins ruled out with a concussion, Harrison Smith ejected

Jordan Akins will not return for the second half against the Minnesota Vikings.

Jordan Akins took a helmet-to-helmet hit in Sunday's game against the Vikings and has been ruled out with a concussion. Vikings safety Harrison Smith was ejected from the game for his hit on the starting tight end. Harrison was disqualified after his hit on Akins following a 26-yard catch on the Texans' final possession of the first half. Following the penalty and the catch, Houston took over at the Minnesota 10-yard line. The Texans added a 28-yard field goal at the end of the drive.

Akins led the receivers with three catches for 46 yards at halftime.
