The week after winning the 2017 World Series, Astros second baseman Jose Altuve sent his teammates a bottle of whiskey as a gift.
On Thursday, J.J. Watt also received one of these gifts from Altuve, along with a handwritten letter.
Altuve thanked the Texans All-Pro defensive lineman for his dedication to the city of Houston and said he considered him "absolutely part of the squad."
"Your support for all things Houston – from hurricane relief to being our number one fan – has been nothing short of incredible," Altuve wrote in the letter.
Watt raised more than $37 million in Harvey relief efforts for Houston and the surrounding areas. Watt, who is currently rehabbing for a season-ending leg injury, also threw out the first pitch of World Series Game 3 while on crutches.
