Justin Reid has a new trophy to display.
The Texans safety, who was named the team's 2019 Ed Block Courage Award winner, got the personalized trophy and a commemorative football for the honor.
The award goes to a player on each NFL team for his exploits on and off the field, and his ability to overcome great adversity. Reid was a defensive leader last season on the field, despite playing through shoulder injuries for the entirety of the regular season and playoffs.
On Saturday he tweeted a pair of photos of the hardware, and his college coach David Shaw quote-tweeted "#StanfordMan".
Reid finished 2019 with 78 total tackles, a pair of interceptions and five pass breakups in 15 starts.
It was just his second season in the NFL.
