Keke Coutee is back

Keke Coutee returned to practice on Wednesday, after missing most of training camp with an undisclosed injury.

The rookie wide receiver also looked "good" in his first day back, according to head coach Bill O'Brien who was quick to temper expectations.

"We'll see how he does," head coach Bill O'Brien said. "He's been in the training room for about four weeks so, got a long way to go."

Coutee raised eyebrows this offseason with his explosiveness and quick hands, one of the main reasons the Texans drafted him in the third round out of Texas Tech. The Lukfin native is also competing for a spot as a kick returner.

"Keke – he's really explosive," Will Fuller V said. "I haven't seen him drop a pass since he's been here. He's got some sure hands. I like playing with him as well. He brings another dimension to our offense with his explosiveness."

Last season, Coutee led the Big 12 in all-purpose yards per game and ranked second for receiving yards, receiving yards per game and receptions.
