UPDATE (2:10 p.m. CT): The Houston Texans announced that Tank Dell is out with a knee injury

Tank Dell caught a touchdown, but was injured on the same play.

Dell suffered a leg injury in the third quarter at Kansas City, as he gathered in a 30-yard strike from quarterback C.J. Stroud. Play was halted after the scoring catch, and Dell was placed on a stretcher and carted off the field.

It was Dell's sixth catch of the day, and he finished with 98 yards.

Speaking after the game, Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans said, "Quick update on Tank: Tank had a significant knee injury and he'll be staying here in Kansas City overnight getting further evaluations and we'll get an update tomorrow on him.

"All of our thoughts and prayers are with Tank right now. You guys see what he means to our entire team. It hurts to see him go down like that. He was having a fantastic game, playing really well for us. He was in a really great spot. And we just want to keep him in our thoughts and prayer right now."

"I believe in healing," Stroud said. "I pray that the Lord can heal him and that this is just something that will be another bump in the road for Tank. This is not the end for Tank. This is just the beginning."

Dell also had a punt return for 12 yards earlier in the game.

Last season in an early December home game against the Broncos, Dell suffered a leg injury that ended what had been a productive rookie season.
