Sunday is Liberty White Out at NRG Stadium. It's presented by BHP, and the Texans will don Liberty White jerseys and pants.
On Liberty White out games, our goal is to celebrate the new season and unite our fan base and team by wearing Liberty White. We also reinforce our commitment to the Houston Community by celebrating and honoring first responders.
This year, Houston will host the Baltimore Ravens, and will do so without fans for the first time in franchise history.
The home opener has seen them wear this uniform combo for over a decade, and their record in the unis that former running back Arian Foster nicknamed "The Icy Whites" is an even 8-8.
Last year on Liberty White Out, with 30 seconds remaining in the game, safety Justin Reid and the Houston defense stonewalled Leonard Fournette and the Jaguars at the goal line when Jacksonville attempted a late 2-point conversion. Instead of going up, 14-13, the Texans held on to a 13-12 advantage and won the game.

Foster thrived on Liberty White Outs in his career. In the 2010 contest, he rumbled for three scores and finished the day with a franchise-record 231 yards on 33 carries. Houston beat the Colts, 34-24.
In four career games on Liberty White Out, Foster gained a combined 492 yards on the ground and scored six touchdowns. The Texans won all four of those games.
