The 2010 Houston Texans Cheerleader squad was completed on Friday, as Lindsey claimed the final spot. Over the past two weeks, more than 40,000 votes were cast online at ABC13.com, and the 18-year old from Houston edged out Hayley, Christina and Ashley to make the team.

One of 11 children, Lindsey heard the good news with the three other finalists on Friday outside Reliant Stadium. It was the realization of a life-long goal.

"This has just been my dream since I was a little girl," Lindsey said. "I'm so excited, I can't even breathe! Am I still asleep?"

After the dream became a reality, the newest member of the squad was taken into the Texans offices, where she was able to put on the official uniform for the first time.

But in the weeks leading up to the vote, Lindsey said she made 2,000 flyers and posters with her likeness on it, and campaigned for votes.

"It's been very stressful, but it's been the best experience of my life," she said.

Cheerleader programs manager Alto Gary now has a full squad with which to work, and likes the final addition.

"She has a great spirit, and I think she's eager to work," Gary said. "We noticed her all throughout tryouts."

In addition to performing at home games, Houston Texans Cheerleaders also make appearances at community events.
