The first touchdown pass of Ryan Mallett's career capped off an impressive second drive for the fourth-year quarterback.
Mallett connected with J.J. Watt for a two-yard scoring strike, and it was his third completion of the series. The touchdown came with 7:13 left in the first quarter.
His first completion was a 41-yard strike on 3rd-and-9 from the Houston 12-yard line.
Later, on 3rd-and-8 at the Cleveland 35, Mallett found Andre Johnson for a 16-yard gain.
His touchdown pass to Watt happened on 1st-and-goal at the Cleveland 2-yard line.
After that drive, Mallett was 3-of-6 on the day for 59 yards.
