Meet Texans rookie, offensive guard Cordel Iwuagwu.
-Hometown: Houston, Texas
-6-3, 309 pounds
-Iwuagwu attended Westfield High School where he led the Mustangs
-Lined up mostly at left guard while at TCU. Started dall 14 games there as a sophomore and all 12 games as a senior in 2019.
-Iwuagwu was just one of two Horned Frogs on the offensive line to start every game at the same position and was a team captain in 10 games.
-Returned to action for TCU's Cheez-It Bowl victory over Cal in 2018 after being sidelined with an injury for eight games.
-Iwuagwu was one of seven Horned Frogs invited to the NFL Combine, along with teammate Ross Blacklock, drafted by Houston in the second round.
-Blacklock and Iwuagwu, both native Houstonians, played three seasons together at TCU (2017-19).
-Iwuagwu choses TCU over Arizona State, Illinois, Louisville and Syracuse.
-Iwuagwu was one of nine college free agents signed by the Texans on April 27.
