Got a question about the Texans?
Life in general?
Drew Dougherty's your guy.
He's been with the Texans since 2009 and is chock full of meaningful, as well as generally useless, information. Fire away by clicking

Rhoda Clark: Dear Drew, I would like your thoughts/opinions on how our "new" offensive line is shaping up. I know we fans are all concerned for protection for C.J. Stroud.
DD: It's going to be a lot different than it has been over the last few years. Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil is gone. So is right guard Shaq Mason. Combined, they started all but five games over the last two seasons. General Manager Nick Caserio has added veteran tackles in Cam Robinson and Trent Brown, along with veteran guards Laken Tomlinson and Ed Ingram. Combined with guys like Tytus Howard, Juice Scruggs and Jarrett Patterson, you have a group that has a significant amount of starting experience. Which leads into the next question...

Nahum Jimenez: Dear Drew, How many offensive linemen do you think the Texans are gonna draft?
DD: Two. I don't know in which round, or in which order, but I think you'll see Caserio and the Texans use a selection on an interior o-lineman, as well as on an offensive tackle. I think they'll get added to the mix above, and I also think Houston might add some more personnel on the o-line in free agency.

John Olthoff: Dear Drew, Do you foresee the change at offensive coordinator having a negative or positive effect?
DD: I think Nick Caley will bring some positive change, in union with the transactions we've seen over the last few weeks. Things will look quite a bit differently next season on the offensive side of the ball. If Caley can get Stroud protected better than he was last season, this offense will go places.

Gerard Moreno: Dear Drew, Will the Texans draft a receiver or an O-lineman in the first round?
DD: I think it's likely one of those two positions, and I believe they'll go with an offensive lineman.

James Garcia: Dear Drew, Spring is in the air and the weeds are blooming. How do the Texans groundskeepers keep the grass on the practice field so lush and fantastic looking?
DD: You're right: those guys do a terrific job at maintaining the fields, and they do so year-round. There's plenty of watering, plenty of good fertilizer, and plenty of rest for the fields. You might read the last part of that sentence and wonder, "rest"? But think about: since the Texans have three practice fields, they rotate during the season and offseason which ones they use. You get dozens and dozens of 200 and 300-pound men practicing for hours at a time on grass, and the fields can get damaged. With that in mind, the Texans often stay off one field for a week or so at a time to let it rest and rejuvenate.
