On Monday Bill O'Brien wouldn't reveal who the starting quarterback would be against Carolina.
On Wednesday, nothing changed.
"Quarterback, you guys will find out on Sunday," O'Brien said. "It'll be a decision again that's in the best interest of the team."
Both Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett played in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, as the latter succeeded the former with six minutes remaining in the game. Hoyer threw a touchdown pass and was intercepted once, completing 18-of-34 passes for 236 yards.
Mallett, meanwhile, was 8-of-13 for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Both signal callers were tight-lipped about who would get the nod to start versus Carolina.
"I'll prepare like I'm the starter, regardless," Mallett said. "In this League, anything can happen in one
play."
Hoyer, for his part, said any mistakes that were made by the offense can be fixed.
"It's all correctable, I think," Hoyer said. "You look at it, you get in the meeting room, you correct it and then you move forward."
The Texans will practice agains on Thursday and Friday at the Houston Methodist Training Center. On Saturday they'll leave for Charlotte, where they'll play the Panthers on Sunday at noon CT.
