The Houston Texans signed C/G Greg Mancz to a contract extension, the team announced today. Mancz is now under contract through the 2020 season.
Mancz has appeared in 29 games, including 23 starts, since the Texans signed him as a college free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft. Mancz, 26, played in 10 games last season with five starts at guard and two at center. In 2016, he started at center in all 16 regular season games and both postseason contests, making him the only Texans lineman to start every game of the year. Mancz (6-4, 310) is entering his fourth season with the Texans. He played four seasons (2011-14) at the University of Toledo (Ohio) and was named a second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.
