The Texans opponents for the 2022 regular season are set, and their combined record is just a shade under .500.
Houston plays 17 games next season. Eight are at NRG Stadium, and nine are on the road. Six of their games are against playoff teams, and two of those games are home-and-away matchups with AFC South rival Tennessee.
The dates and times will be official in April or May when the NFL releases the regular season schedule, but the Texans know who and where they'll play their 2022 contests, and they'll welcome eight teams to NRG Stadium who combined to go 31-35 on the road in 2021. Four squads were above .500 on the road this season, the Chargers were 4-4, and three teams had losing road records. The Chiefs, Titans and Eagles are the lone playoff teams from 2021 who come to Houston next autumn.

The Texans travel nine times in 2022, as the AFC goes on the road to face an NFC counterpart. The AFC South drew the NFC North, so third-place Houston will match up with third-place Chicago at Soldier Field.
The Titans, Cowboys and Raiders are the playoff squads from 2021 they'll face on the road this fall, along with two other teams in Miami and Indianapolis who had winning records. Overall, the combined record of the Texans away opponents was 72-81 in 2021, and those teams were a combined 39-39 at home this season. Five of those franchises were below .500 at home in 2021.
