The Texans aren't playing any preseason games in 2020.
Neither will the other 31 NFL teams.
In a Monday letter to fans, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed a variety of topics concerning the start and safety of the upcoming season with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In it, he mentioned "Preseason games have been cancelled". So for the first time in team history, the Texans won't play preseason games in August. They were scheduled to begin the exhibition slate on August 14 at Minnesota, with a home date versus the Seahawks the next week. A road contest in the third week of the preseason at New Orleans, with the preseason finale set for September 3 against the Cowboys in NRG Stadium.
Those are all wiped out now, and Houston kicks off the regular season September 10 at Kansas City.
