I have been blogging that the Texans are a trendy pick in 2009. Most pundits liken them to last year's Arizona Cardinals. But what makes that comparison iffy is at the quarterback position. The Cards went to the Super Bowl with Kurt Warner, a battle-tested former NFL MVP winner. Matt Schaub, on ther other hand, hasn't been healthy for all 16 games in his two seasons with the Texans.
SI.com's Peter King points this out in his preseason NFL ranking list out today. He ranks the Texans at 13th in the league and writes that Schaub's durability is what is holding Houston back in his book. The Colts ranked fifth and the Titans were 10th. Yeah, the AFC doesn't get any easier.
