Does anybody call you by your real name, which is Casey? "Yeah, my family does. (My wife) Kimberly tried to, but she thought it didn't sound good. A lot of my family and my old friends from way back when do. 'Case' started because there was a kid in my third grade class named Casey as well, so my mom told me to go by Case so I don't get confused."
How much do you keep in touch with Kliff Kingsbury, Kevin Sumlin and Art Briles? "Are you trying to get an interview with Kliff?"
What? No (maybe)… that's not my intention. "Then why did you draw little hearts next to his name? Just kidding. I talk to Kliff quite a bit. He does a good job of texting. Obviously, they're all pretty busy. But I stay in touch with them pretty regularly."
Now that you're a big time starting quarterback, do you get recognized out in public more often? "I don't go out a whole lot, but, yeah, it's starting to happen a little more regularly."
So you don't have a fake Case Keenum double to distract the paparazzi? "No. No, I don't."
Bummer. What's your favorite phrase in Spanish? "In Spanish? What's... 'let's eat'?"
'Comemos.' What do you plan on doing in January when the season's over? "Relaxing a little bit. I'm probably gonna hunt. Maybe work on my golf game."
If there were a Case Keenum movie, which actor would pl-"Denzel Washington." (Interrupted.)
And who would play Kimberly? "I guess it's got to be Eva Mendes from Training Day."
If you were in a dark alley and you had to fight your way out of it to survive, which two teammates would you like on your side? "I would like Duane Brown for obvious reasons. I feel like Chris Myers always has my back, too. "
Who would you definitely not want beside you? "I guess I got to say Garrett Graham because he probably doesn't have very good fighting skills. Those Wisconsin guys."
