According to tweets from John McClain of the Houston Chronicle and Mark Berman of KRIV/Fox-26, linebacker Brian Cushing signed a contract extension on Tuesday with the Texans.
Cushing, who missed 11 games in 2012 with a torn ACL, was set to enter the final year of his
contract. The inside linebacker was the team's first round draft pick in 2009. He won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award that season.
The Houston Texans don't comment on contract negotiations or transactions until they're official.
