With 31 years of NFL experience, Romeo Crennel is the Texans' new defensive coordinator. Crennel has been a coach on five Super Bowl championship teams, winning three times with New England and twice with the New York Giants.
Crennel, 66, spent the majority of his career working under Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells and
running a 3-4 defensive scheme. He was the former head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. Nicknamed "Rac," Crennel has coached the likes of defensive players such as Mike Vrabel, Richard Seymour, Ted Johnson, and Ted Bruschi in his NFL tenure.
Crennel got an early look at draft prospects on January 18 when he coached the West squad in the East-West Shrine college all-star game.
